Herringbone Office

Remember I chose this herringbone fabric for the office? Well, the roller blind has now arrived.
The office is at the top of the stairs and has a view of the trees beyond our back fence, as well as our old Crepe Myrtle tree. You can see that I upholstered the chairs in the same fabric as the blind.

This table has been around the world with us and back. We bought it from Golborne Road in London back in the early 2000s BC (before children). Originally, we used it as a dining table.
And here's Coco under the couch in the office.

So glad I found you! I am someone who has a hard time picturing patern/color changes for my home. I am in awe of those that can and plunge into making gorgeous spaces!

i have so many wonderful things from golborne rd - and so cheap too! so hard to take some of the prices of vintage and second hand pieces here in bris! have you seen any bent cane couches anywhere recently? can be in bad condition - happy to restore.

I just keep an eye out at second hand stores and on ebay.

About Spots and Stripes

When I began my third renovation, I swapped the corporate ladder for the rusty paint ladder and began my website and blog, Spots and Stripes, which chronicles the restoration of our 'Queenslander' in Brisbane. I'm also an interior editor helping clients to create a home which is not modern, nor traditional, rather it's interesting. For a home that is unlike any other, I can assist with the selection of lights, tiles, mirrors, wallpaper, paint, furniture and fabric.
