Christmas Gift Ideas

Finding the right gift for the right person can be fraught in the lead up to Christmas, so I thought I'd share some of the gifts I'm giving (and a few I hope to receive) this year. I love beautiful pajamas like this pair from J Crew (USD$108). They're gorgeous but they're silk, so not altogether practical with toddlers and Weetbix. That's why I often buy my PJ's from Sussan. Like this stripey nightie (under $30).
Crystal or glass bowls are a great gift, I keep them on my bedside table to store my earrings. And you can pick them up for around $10 from any antique or second hand store.
In Brisbane, I always find gorgeous bowls at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre.

As a choc-o-holic, chocolates from Haighs are a traditional part of our Christmas.

Jo Malone package their products so beautifully, I often give them as a gift. And now they've got a new scent, Pine and Eucalyptus. Perfect for an Australian summer.

This coin purse from Kate Spade is very festive (USD$75). But it might be too hard to part with. What are you giving to your friends and family (or to yourself) this Christmas?

Snap re: Sussan Pj's. Patterns are lovely & pricepoint so good! I heard the other day Sussan now has the buyer from CR . . . explains the turnaround! lovT

Aha! That explains why I seem to be going into Sussan quite a bit lately. x A

About Spots and Stripes

When I began my third renovation, I swapped the corporate ladder for the rusty paint ladder and began my website and blog, Spots and Stripes, which chronicles the restoration of our 'Queenslander' in Brisbane. I'm also an interior editor helping clients to create a home which is not modern, nor traditional, rather it's interesting. For a home that is unlike any other, I can assist with the selection of lights, tiles, mirrors, wallpaper, paint, furniture and fabric.
