Summer Wardrobe

I'm packing for a holiday at the Coast so I thought I'd take a few snaps of my summer wardrobe as I pack. First up is my summer wardrobe staple - white jeans. Some people think they're too Liz Hurley circa 1990 but I can't live without them. I wear them all the time in summer, I just change my tops. Like this green silk shirt from J Crew. I've added a vintage python clutch (from Add Vintage) and some Oroton flats.
White jeans but this time with a nautical striped top from J Crew. I've added my black sandal/ thongs this time (from Hugo Boss). I don't wear a lot of accessories but I always wear a watch. Over summer I often wear a white watch and a silver bangle.
At the Coast, we'll be spending a lot of time by the pool with the girls. So I've packed a couple of swimsuits like this blue bikini from Ralph Lauren. Not that they'll see much sun. I don't want to end up looking like a python handbag myself, so I'll be wearing this striped Nautica polo top and these muslin harem pants from Target, over the top. Plus my straw fedora (I bought it from Coles last summer).
I've also packed my new silver and black one-piece from theoutnet. When I'm not in the pool, I'll wear a white shirt dress with pin tucks with my super large hat and my black thongs. And SPF30 (the only way I get a tan is from a bottle).
And I like to pack an evening outfit just in case. So I'm taking these sequin harem pants and a white shirt. Gold Valentino sandals too (for a glam evening out, if we can find a babysitter). Some of you may remember (from my confessions of a shop-a-holic) that I ordered these harem pants back in February, well they arrived this week, just in time for my summer holiday. And they're perfect!

Thanks Fiona. They're a great fit too. So I'm really happy with them.

Excellent choices! I also have a summer line up and most of them came from the minds of Australian designers.

About Spots and Stripes

When I began my third renovation, I swapped the corporate ladder for the rusty paint ladder and began my website and blog, Spots and Stripes, which chronicles the restoration of our 'Queenslander' in Brisbane. I'm also an interior editor helping clients to create a home which is not modern, nor traditional, rather it's interesting. For a home that is unlike any other, I can assist with the selection of lights, tiles, mirrors, wallpaper, paint, furniture and fabric.
