The Block - Master Bedrooms

I'm still addicted to The Block even though there's lots of renovation shows on at the moment. The reason I like it is because it's real. The couples are renovating real houses which will go to auction. This week the focus was the master bedroom. Josh and Jenna have a real style continuity. And that was evident again this week with their grey painted walls (Wattyl's Snowdonia 3/4 strength). It provides a great backdrop for their vintage accessories. I particularly liked their buttoned bed head this week.
Josh and Jenna actually won the best bathroom as they created a "wet room" where a separate shower and bath were both placed behind a glass screen. The judges were very impressed (although I'm still trying to work out the point).
Personally, I was more impressed with their walk-in-wardrobe. They did a 'mirror' wall at one end which made it seem very spacious. And there was plenty of room for shoes.
Katrina and Amie continued their quirky style this week with a gorgeous black, white and pink bedroom. I thought they showed real flair by wallpapering a wall, it just adds an extra dimension to the room. And I loved the cockatoo cushion. They always add a fun element to their design.
Polly and Waz won the best bedroom. They've really improved each week and this week was certainly their best week. This bedroom was very cohesive. Although, personally I'm not a fan of built in bedside tables. Did you have a favourite room this week?

Ditto! I'm impressed with the walk-in cabinet. I've never had a walk-in cabinet before and it is the first thing I look for in these new homes for sale.

Splendid! Color white really boost the aura of peace and calm. I'm impressed with the walk-in cabinet. The first thing I look for in these in my apartment at apartment for rent in makati. Any tips and guide that can help me through my project in making walk in cabinets?

Wet rooms are a great idea if you have a small bathroom eg. trouble fitting in a frameless shwer and a bath in the space. Instead of running the shower along a wall and bath on another wall with limited spacial planing options, you utalise the generally unused middle of the room, allowing a more contemporary and seamless area. This is also great for narrow bathrooms :)

I like a spacious masters bedroom too when I get to pick a house. I just need to settle my Long Island mortgage first and hopefully I'll get to see a huge house with a spacious bedroom too.

About Spots and Stripes

When I began my third renovation, I swapped the corporate ladder for the rusty paint ladder and began my website and blog, Spots and Stripes, which chronicles the restoration of our 'Queenslander' in Brisbane. I'm also an interior editor helping clients to create a home which is not modern, nor traditional, rather it's interesting. For a home that is unlike any other, I can assist with the selection of lights, tiles, mirrors, wallpaper, paint, furniture and fabric.
