Around the House

I don't like trinkets or knick-knacks but lately, I've purchased a few decorative bits and pieces (from the Woolloongabba Antique Centre) for around the house. This is my bronze candle holder which is moulded as a branch holding two hummingbirds. The pink peonies look lovely too - I bought them from Woolies of all places.
This vase really appealed to me. It looks like a faux tree. Sounds a bit weird but its actually very attractive.
I've also found a home for these brass Peacocks. I think they'll make lovely door stops. Currently, they're under our Frangipani tree which is flowering. Coco Rhubarb, our Westhighland Terrier, was not very pleased with their presence and barked at them when they arrived. But they're all friends now. Enjoy your weekend.

About Spots and Stripes

When I began my third renovation, I swapped the corporate ladder for the rusty paint ladder and began my website and blog, Spots and Stripes, which chronicles the restoration of our 'Queenslander' in Brisbane. I'm also an interior editor helping clients to create a customised home. Let me know if I assist you with the selection of lights, tiles, mirrors, wallpaper, paint, furniture and fabric.
